You can group them together by choosing Grouping > Group under the pull down Shape menu, or right mouse click and from the pop-up menu choose Shape, Group.Visio shortcut key to Group shapes is Control+G. However, if you wish to simply reposition a collection of shapes, you do not need to group them. Hold down the left mouse button and drag across the shapes you wish to move. Once all the shapes are highlighted, position your cursor over the top of one of the shapes until your mouse pointer turns white. Hold down your left mouse button and drag. The shapes will move as if they were grouped together.
