Editing Text in Visio

When you need to insert additional text or edit existing text in a shape that already contains text, you must double click on the shape to activate Text Edit mode and then click once on the text to place the cursor.

Another click on the text will place the cursor (blinking vertical bar) on the text.

Just clicking once on a shape and immediately typing will overwrite all the text that is currently in the shape.
