Accessing
SmartShape Properties
Access the custom
properties associated with a Visio SmartShapes symbol by right-clicking on the shape and
choosing Set Properties or Shape > Custom Properties from the right mouse-action menu. Once the Properties dialog is open, you can enter detailed
information about the symbol (i.e. part number, BOM tag, or cost) or change the shape and
behavior of the object by selecting different parameters from windows-like menus.
The selected shape is identified by its green
selection handles. The custom properties are accessible in the Custom Properties dialogue
box.
