Undocumented Dimension Commands in IntelliCAD 98

IntelliCAD 98,dimensions, styles, standards

Using dimension styles in IntelliCAD 98. I learned most of this through trial and error. Sharing it here might help a few people

Most of the commands for changing dimension settings from the command line are not documented in IntelliCAD 98. If (or when!) you get into customizing your copy of IntelliCAD you will need these commands for your LISP programs and scripts.

To display this list in IntelliCAD, along with the status of your current settings, enter the command "DIMSTYLE" then type "STATUS".

To save or print the list you will need to create a logfile to save them in. The commands to do this are "LOGFILENAME" to create a unique logfile in the base IntelliCAD directory of your hard drive, then "LOGFILEON", "DIMSTYLE", "STATUS", press enter as many times as necessary and "LOGFILEOFF". You can then use a text editor (Notepad or one of the better alternatives such as the excellent, dirt-cheap, shareware editor NoteTab) to view or print the list.
