IntelliCAD Popups Be Gone

| Tips & Techniques IntelliCAD, command, prompts |
Some IntelliCAD users
(especially ex-AutoCAD users) find that IntelliCAD's pop-ups drive them a little
crazy. When using IntelliCAD commands that require further prompts, IntelliCAD pops up the
prompt options adjacent to the mouse cursor. The intention is to make the whole interface operable by mouse and therefore more Windows-friendly. The prompt options can still be entered via the Command line and some users find the process of moving through command sequences so ingrained in their brain's motor control department that IntelliCAD's supplementary pop-up just a distraction. To new users, the pop-up is a real help and a more obvious place to select options from than a text-based command line. However, IntelliCAD can keep both sets of users happy. Those who do not need prompt pop-ups can simply turn them off. Select Tools > Options and uncheck Display Prompt Boxes
