It's a simple matter to draw in any of 255 colors available to you in IntelliCAD's drawing windows. But how will those colors plot on your printer?

Many users take advantage of the wide and affordable availability of color printers to help their CAD drawings communicate more effectively.

Jess Stryker, landscape architect and Design Drawing reader, recognized long ago that what you see is not always what you get when using a wide variety of drawing colors. In his business of landscape and irrigation design, colors are an important part of the overall communication potential of IntellCAD drawings. Predicting how colors will look on the final plot is a risky business.

Jess has created an IntelliCAD drawing that indexes all the available entity colors. By plotting this drawing to different printer and even using diferent Windows drivers, you can generate a hardcopy record of how colors will come out on paper - before making decisions on your drawing.

This color index chart helps determine how your printer will interpret IntelliCAD entity colors.

Jess has generously placed his color index chart in the public domain and provided the DWG file for wide distribution via Design Drawing.
